Narrow Escape

The trailer swerved out right in front of our car which was travelling at 140kph. Sitting there, my life flashed before me. Barely 30 metres away, at that speed, we would have been crushed in the stern of the timber laden trailer. In a reflex, I turned towards SY who was driving & I screamed for God. All I remember seeing was the logs & length of the vehicle that smashed into where I was sitting. There was a loud bang. I couldn’t feel a thing but I began to tremble. We managed to come to a halt. I told SY to pullover as we were in danger of a second hit if we had remained on the fast lane. I asked if everyone was okay because I wasn’t. And I mustn’t let them down now. Angels had worked overtime again. We were unharmed. Shaken but not stirred. I took over the wheel despite my jittery nerves. I knew I would be alright. I have Jesus. We prayed & committed the rest of the journey to God & His army. We began to praise God & sang songs of worship to honour Him all the way to Penang.

Upon our return, the mechanic that SY brought her car to, was stunned by the damage sustained on the car. The impact was directly upon where the front door closes & the back door begins. The frame sustained the blow & kept us intact. If any other part would have taken the impact, I cannot imagine the extent of our injury. I’d been reminded that a door has been opened to receive the negative effects of these incidents. This is a spiritiual door that allows the evil one to gain a foothold in my life. I think I know where this door resides. I must close it.
